I got hold of this stack of sturdy herringbone weave bags from Romania.

the opinions diverge,

but our strongest guess is that they were used as sleeping bags.

they would make fabulous cushions or tablecloths of course,

but as I am always thinking BAGS

I have been working on scarves with great pleasure ...
inspired by a fantastic patchwork beadspread from India that I once called mine and which now only exists in my memory ...

each scarf is handmade up to the smallest detail, and except for size and style all scarves will vary regarding to how these lovely silk- and voilepatches are combined and the handstitched finish

' a scarf a day ' ...
maybe in some way also a reflection of my mood on that day ... but I am longing for sun, and warmth and light so ' let the colours in '
